Zero to one is my favourite part of the work. Nothing has hardened yet, so the problem, the interface, and the code can still change together. That freedom feels good, but every early choice leaves a mark.

Small versions have saved more than a few beautiful bad ideas. The sooner something meets reality, the sooner it stops being imaginary.

Open source is where the door stays open. Someone can inspect the work, break it, improve it, or use it for a reason that never occurred to me. That makes the software feel more alive.

AI agents, local-first apps, knowledge tools, developer tools—they look like separate interests, but they come from the same itch: making computers carry more of the boring weight without removing the human part.

Not every rabbit hole needs to become a company. Sometimes the fun is staying there until the thing stops feeling like magic.
